More than just a gym
The Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel has continued to evolve as an internationally renowned Venue of Excellence with the launch of the Centre for Health and Wellbeing.
Formerly known as the Beardmore Health Club, the Centre aims to build on the existing success of the facility, offering more access to services for members, delegates, the local community and staff, in line with the Scottish Government’s ambition to create a healthier Scotland.
The new strategy will position the Centre for Health and Wellbeing as a key, integral and unique part of the Golden Jubilee Foundation, working in partnership with the Conference Hotel, National Hospital, Research Institute and Innovation Centre.
Commenting on the Centre, Director of the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel, Bronagh Bell, said: “Following an extensive review of our services and in-depth engagement exercise around the future of the Health Club, we are excited to announce that we have rolled out a long term, evolutionary, strategy, to develop the facility into a state-of-the-art Centre for Health and Wellbeing.
“As we work towards our goal to become recognised internationally as a specialist hotel and conference venue for the medical, technical and pharmaceutical industry, the launch of the Centre will further enhance our custom-built facilities. This will allow us to provide the highest possible standard of service for every guest, delegate or event organiser that comes through our doors.”
Bronagh added: “The health and wellbeing of our clients continues to be our top priority. Our Fitness team are on hand for nutritional advice, information about our free fitness classes for staying guests and we also encourage clients to take advantage of our walking, running and cycling routes on the grounds. The new strategy aims to build on the success of the facility, supporting everyone from members, to clients, to delegates to have a healthy body, healthy mind and look forward to announcing further developments in the near future.”
As well as being a physical space, the Centre for Health and Wellbeing is a concept which will gradually take shape over the next four years. For more information about membership rates and facilities, click here.
